Jesse Hull, on lighting. Jesse Hull has gathered a wealth of experience in crop production and education, particularly within urban settings. While earning degrees in Ceramic Chemistry and Psychology, Jesse worked with Habitat for Humanity’s Global Village program taking part in several natural disaster recovery efforts by traveling extensively across the U.S., as well as to Europe and Africa. From 2009 to 2011, Jesse maintained a 70,000 gallon aquaponic food production and composting facility in Milwaukee, WI. In 2011, he became a founding officer in the Aquaponics Association and in 2012, an instructor for the Aquaponics Institute. Between 2011 and 2015 he consulted on several commercial & educational scale farms including those in the U.S., Africa, & Kazakhstan. With 20+ years experience in horticulture, he routinely conducts product testing for the hydroponic, aquaculture, & horticultural lighting industries. Jesse has taught alongside some of the biggest names in hydro- and aquaponics in training seminars throughout the U.S., and featured in news stories involving urban farming by The Wall St. Journal, The New York Times, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, NPR, & NBC Nightly News.
